National Best For ArmstrongMay 11 1998Not more than a week after Dylan Armstrong set a Canadian Juvenile best in hammer of 68.46 he has set another Canadian Juvenile best of 68.74m competing at the Richmond Review Kajaks High School Meet. Armstrong who set a National best indoors in the Weight throw of 21.19m is continuing his record breaking ways. Nicole Chimko also had a big weekend as she set two personal bests and provisionally qualified for the NCAA championships in two events. Chimko's javelin throw of 52.68 was a personal best and increased her lead over the other Canadians in the Foot Locker National Throws Rankings. Her throw of 50.96 in discus was also a personal best and moves her to the top spot in the discus rankings as well. Chimko now has top spot in shot, discus, and javelin. Other personal bests included: Vicky Web - 10.24 in Shot, Lianne Coomb - 43.86 in Discus, Tara Baker - 44.24 in hammer while finishing third to Chinook Track Club's team mates Carla Pavan 2nd - 45.72 and Patti Pilsner-Steinke - 55.05 1st at the Lethbridge Spring meet. Now that the Outdoor season is almost in full swing, the Foot Locker National Throws Rankings are begining to get fairly deep in all of the age categories.
