Important FISU ItemsMar. 17 1999To those preselected for FISU games as well as those hoping to make the team. Athletics Canda has had difficulties getting "group" cooperation from Iberia and therefore will not be purchasing tickets for athletes and then billing them for flights to Palma de Morca Spain. You will be required to find your own tickets to Spain. Plan to arrive on or before July 4 and to leave by July 14. For those athletes that are in speed and power events and are planning on participating in the Pan Am games, plan for the Arizona camp also. Ticket prices through Iberia to Palma from Montreal have been found for $1100.00. Begin searching for tickets now and hopefully you will get the best deals. If athletes are looking for a letter of support to help approach businesses etc. for funds, one may be available from Andy McInnis at amcinnis@igs.net. For those preselected, this is the time to be looking for tickets... well in advance... for the best deals. Please help spread the word to any athletes you know have been preselected or are interested in these games. Anyone that believes they have even a remote chance of making this team should get the appropriate forms in as soon as possible as the dealine for the forms is May 1 1999.
