Second North American Record for ArmstrongMar. 15 1999Competing at the Nike Invitational High School Championships in Ohio, Dylan Armstrong threw what will likely remain a North American Record for years to come. On his last throw in the weight he tossed out a 26.65m throw. This throw actually hit the protective barricade and was probably about 30cm (a foot) farther than measured as they marked it from the bottom of the barrier. His series was as follows: 1: F, 2: 24.80M 3: 24.52M, 4: 24.67M 5: 24.92M 6: 26.65M (87' 5.25"). Lucais Mackay (Hughson, CA) in second became the #3 all-time US highschooler with 75-1.25.
