Loss of a Throwing FriendJune 03 1999It is with the sincerest of regrets that I report that Christie Evans, a former Canadian Javelin Thrower passed away on Monday May 31 1999. Evans, who was 40 years old passed away from cancer and is survived by her husband and 2 children. The funeral will be held in Victoria on June 4 1999. Instead of flowers the family request that donations be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donators choice in Christie's name. As more information becomes available it will be posted here. Our prayers are with you Christie.
