Toman wins Silver at NCAA'sJune 01 2001Liz Toman of Colorado State finished second at the NCAA championships with a huge personal best throw of 56.22m. Toman went into the competition ranked 11th. Toman also competed in the shot put but did not qualify for the finals with her toss of 14.13m. Freshman Dylan Armstrong completed his first year of NCAA competition with a respectable fifth place finish in men's hammer of 69.48 which was a season's best for him. Other Canadians still to compete are Jennifer Joyce (ranked 8th) and Carol Stevenson (ranked 13th) in women's hammer which runs Saturday and Andrea Bulat (ranked 17th) in women's javelin which runs Friday.
