Canadians Showcase at the Goodwill GamesJuly18 1998Two Canadian throwers will have the opportunity to showcase themselves at the Goodwill Games this coming week. Brad Snyder and Jason Tunks have both been invited to test themselves against the worlds best on Sunday July 19th as the Goodwill Games begin. Tunks, who is presently ranked sixth in the world and on May 14 set a new Candian record of 67.88m, will compete in the discus. Tunks recently beat Lars Riedel and is looking to be in top form for this meet. Snyder, who remained unbeaten in the NCAA indoor and outdoor season also looks to prove his mettle at the games. Tunks is presently ranked 10th in the world with a throw of 20.40m which he threw at the USC Invitational on the 18th of April. Both throwers compete on Sunday July 19 and you can find the results here as soon as they become available. The following are the fields for the throws events at the Goodwill Games:
