Big Throw for WatsonFeb 24/98Kris Watson, competing for Southern Utah University, helped his team to a second place finish at the Mid-Con Championsips this past weekend. Watson threw a personal best and Alberta Provincial Record of 19.76m in the men's weight throw. UMKC's Adam Beltran finished second behind Watson with a mark of 15.78m. Watson, who is from Calgary Alberta, hopes that this throw will be far enough to solidify his spot at the NCAA Championship as this distance has moved him up to 14th in the NCAA rankings and second in the Canadian rankings.
