The SFU Invitational Track and Field Meet, featuring events for Junior High
Schools, Senior High Schools and Open Divisions will take place at Rotary
Stadium, Abbotsford, BC on Saturday, May 2, 1998.
Events offered are as follows:
Open Men:--100, 400, 800, 1500, 2-kSC, 1500m RW Javelin,
Open Women:--100, 400, 800,400m Hurdles, Pole Vault, 1500m RW, High Jump,
Long Jump
Sr. High School Boys--100, 400, 800, 1500, 2-kSC, 3,000, 4x100m Relay,
4x400m Relay, Javelin, Pole Vault, Shot Put, High Jump, Long Jump
Sr. High School Girls--100, 400, 800, 1500, 80m Hurdles. 400 metre hurdles,
4x100m Relay, 4x400m Relay, Pole Vault, High Jump, Long Jump, Discus
Shot Put
Jr. High School boys--100, 400, 800, 1500, 3,000m, 4x100m Relay, 4x400m Relay,
Javelin, Long Jump, Shot Put
Jr. High School Girls--100, 400, 800, 1500, 80m Hurdles, Shot Put

Hammer events for Open Men (event 58), Open Women (event 59) and High School boys (event 60) have been added and will be held at 12:00 noon or as soon as the 11:00 a.m. javelin event concludes 2. Discus events for Open Women (61), Open Men (62), High School boys (63) have been added and will be held at 3:00 p.m. Some adjustment in the time schedule may have to be made if entries for these events are heavy. 3. A 3,000 metre event for Open Women and High School Girls (event 64) will be held at 4:45 p.m. 4. A Open Women's 1500m could be added if enough interest is shown. Please let me know if you have athletes (and how many) would like to run this event. It would be run during the same time frame as the other 1500m events. 5. Entry deadline is Monday, April 27.
