(250) 851 - 2512 fax 372 - 8098 ATTENTION: THROWERS THROWS MEET AUGUST 15TH, 1997 HILLSIDE TRACK, KAMLOOPS PACIFIC LEGENDS THROWS MEET Saturday/Sunday, August 15/16 1998 Sanctioned by: BC Athletics Hosted by: Kamloops Track & Field Club Venue: Hillside Stadium, Kamloops, BC IMPLEMENTS: Implements will be provided. Those wishing to use their own implements are required to weigh in no later than 1 hour prior to the start of competition. Implement weights used will be in accordance with BC Athletics rules. ACCOMODATION: There are numerous hotels and motels close to the track. There are also dormitories directly across the street. Those wishing more information, please contact Pina Russo (250)579-8744. ENTRY INFO: Entries are $20 per athlete. This includes all events you wish to enter, both days, plus T-shirt. On entry, please include: Athlete's name, Yr. of Birth, Club, Events, PB for 1998, BC Athletics number, and whether athlete will compete both days in the same event. Entry deadline is August 10th, 1998. Entries should be faxed to: Pina Russo Entries Chair, Pacific Legends Throws Meet FAX: (250) 372-8098 PHONE: (250) 579-8744 (Please fax entries where possible) GENERAL: This year the Pacific Legends Throws meet will be a two day event, with the same schedule being run on both days allowing athletes to compete twice in each event if they so choose. The weather is hot and dry, the circles are excellent, the atmosphere relaxed. Last year Caroline Wittrin came with centimeters of breaking her own national women's record in the hammer. This meet is athlete friendly and every effort is made to ensure that the athletes are given the best possible conditions to compete in. Our officials are first rate and fully certified. Steel measuring tapes will be available.
