(250) 851 - 2512 fax 372 - 8098 ATTENTION: THROWERS THROWS MEET AUGUST 4TH, 1997 HILLSIDE TRACK, KAMLOOPS The Kamloops Track and Field Club will be holding a throws - only competition on the above date in Kamloops. Due to the gap in competions for athletes who have made any of the number of teams in August, this is a perfect opportunity for yourself or your athletes to come and get a competition in before you head off to Canada Games, FISU, Francophone, Legion, etc... The competition is open to any athlete who wishes to come and throw (16 yrs +). All events will be run as open categories and the men and women will be run together if the numbers in each gender are below six in total. The weather in Kamloops in August is ideal for throwing: dry and hot with little wind. We will make every effort to accommodate the athletes to ensure optimum performance. The circles are fast. Entry fee is $5 per event. EVENTS OFFERRED: Men's and women's hammer 5:00pm Men's and women's discus 6:30pm Men's and women's shot put 8:00pm Men's and women's javelin 8:00pm This schedule is very tentative and and will be finalized when I have received enough entries. One thing I can promise you is that we will not be starting any earlier than 5:00pm.
